Tuesday, December 1, 2015, has been designated as #GivingTuesday. Following the sales of Black Friday and the online shopping boom on Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is an opportunity for people all over the world to come together to give.

Please take this opportunity to support the ministry of the Ethnic America Network in encouraging and equipping ministries and churches of all cultures for cross-cultural advancement of the gospel and intercultural unity in Jesus Christ.

Announcing the 2016 GC2 Summit: The Global Refugee Crisis and the Christian Response

Over 200,000 Syrians have died in their 4.5 year conflict. That is roughly the equivalent of the Paris death toll every day since the start of their stuggle . Approximately 25% of those killed have been women and children, and over 80,000 of those killed have been civilians. This has led to a mass exodus where over half the population of Syria, 12 million people, have now had to flee their home looking for safety.

What can we, as Christians, do to help? The Billy Graham Center for Evangelism and the Humanitarian Disaster Institute will be hosting the 2016 GC2 Summit on January 20, 2016, where Christian organizations engaged in refugee resettlement, immigrant ministry, ministries of mercy, and more can join in a conversation about the global refugee crisis. Lasting Impact of 1965 U.S. Immigration Act

If you’d like to understand more about immigration in the United States, read this report on how the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act continues to reshape the United States 50 years after it went into effect. The Act has had a profound effect on the flow of immigrants to the United States, and in only a matter of years began to transform the U.S. demographic profile.

The report includes graphical representations of the “Annual Number of U.S. Legal Permanent Residents,” “U.S. Immigrant Population by World Region of Birth,” and “Top Ten Largest U.S. Immigrant Groups” over time.

Immigrants Position Paper

City street
In the wake of growing ethnic diversity in North America, this paper examines the issues around the topic of immigration, focusing on the immigrants themselves. For the purpose of this paper, in line with the UN definition, an “immigrant” is: “A person who moves to a country other than that of his or her usual residence for a period of at least a year…so that the country of destination effectively becomes his or her new country of usual residence.”
